Weekend update

crazy computing
I am generally a hand washing freak when it comes to cooking, I am always washing my hands, and this is something that has carried over from cooking for eleven years. Well, when I am fixing myself lunch or dinner, sometimes I will not wash my hands before I start touching utensils and handling containers and sometimes the food. However, if I make myself a drink, before I handle the ice, I will always wash my hands right before reaching into the freezer to grab the ice trays.

Yesterday when I was drinking my Rum and Coke, after a few swallows my face was warm and almost numb feeling for some reason. It was really an odd feeling.

I have had a Netflix account for a few months now trying to get the 2ge+her DVD, and it has never produced it's self. I went to Netflix to cancel the membership, but then I started seeing movies I wanted to watch, and then more movies, and now I have a queue. So, if you have Netflix and wanna be my friend and add to my queue I am at Netflix at crazycomputing.net. See you there!

I also decided to stop advertising on Vegweb. I was getting a lot of traffic from them, but to me it wasn't creating the results I was wanting. It may be Carrot Juice. Maybe there is too much, maybe there is not enough, maybe it is a combination of both, I am not sure. It may be a failure. I don't know, but it wasn't worth the $60 a month I was paying. I want to focus my time on Crazy Computing anyway. I need to put Carrot Juice on the back burner for a while and bring Crazy Computing forward. I can take that $60 and use it to put in ads in the local community papers and make money off of it.

I need to start focusing on Crazy Computing. I need to get it off the ground. I am now paying $60 a month for shitty Nextel service so I can have a second line. I need to get off my ass and print up bumper stickers and advertise and print up a bunch more business cards and start leaving them around for people to see and stuff.

I am going to be doing some upgrades to Who Gives A Crap? over the next week. Expect some downtime, and the site not working the way it should (ie error messages). Hopefully it will be painless, but I am not optimistic about that.

For those of you that don't know, I have forums that you can actively participate in as well. Feel free to use and abuse. Those and the gallery will not be affected.

* Deep Thought of the day

Sometimes I think the world has gone completely mad. And then I think, 'Aw, who cares?' And then I think, 'Hey, what's for supper?'

I got my electric bill the other day...

Amount Due: 199.75.

I hope that with the new thermostat, the cost to AC my home will go down.

My first overnight shift, and all is quiet on the western front. I am tired as hell and can't wait for the last 1 1/2 hour to go by. I am going to go home and crash hard.

The true price of milk

As the nation's largest dairy producer, California serves as the benchmark for industry standards and norms. Annually, the Golden State generates $4.6 billion in revenue from 1.5 million cows at 2,400 farm operations. According to the California Department of Food and Agriculture, one out of every five dairy cows in the United States is raised in California. Despite exceptional economic and agriculture growth, California's dairy practices have a detrimental effect on animal welfare, environmental sustainability, public health, and occupational safety.

Animal Welfare

Each year the California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) spends $37 million to promote the Happy Cows Campaign. CMAB's marketing promotion depicts computer-animated cows praising life on picturesque dairies in California. "These campaigns are designed to leave consumers feeling good about what they buy," explains R.M. Arrieta of the Independent Press Association.
